Wooden City

from Of the Reeds by Strangeweather

lyrics

Wooden city in my heart creaks softly
and I wonder where I been.
Tiny talk and total trash in our mouths,
there's a hole inside of me.

When the trouble started we did nothing.
Hoped that it would go away.
Fell to pieces in the blink of an eye
and then reveled in the pain.

Nothing left to do but count our teeth now
and build a shelter from the rain.
